The temple was constructed out of light-grey sandstone in the traditional Kalinga architectural style. It is divided into four primary sections: the Vimana (a tower structure that houses the sanctuary), the Jagamohana (an assembly hall), the Natamandapa (the location of all festivals), and the Bhogamandapa (offerings hall). The deities enter through the west gate and exit through the east gate, which is placed at the end of Bada Danda, the major route of the Puri Rath Yatra.

7. BALUKHAND WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

A Marine Drive road runs adjacent to it, and it falls on Puri-Konark Marine Drive road. The rare Black Buck, deers, large tribes of monkeys, hyenas could be spotted here. Also, due to its proximity to the sea, visitors will love witnessing Olive Ridley Turtles. If you are coming from Konark, Balukhand Wildlife Sanctuary is the place to explore.
