3. KANKARIA LAKE

One of the striking and most beautiful features of Kankaria Lake is the garden – Nagina Wadi, constructed amidst water. 4. ADALAJ STEPWALL

Adalaj ni vav has been built in the Indo-Islamic style. At various levels inside the monument, the graphics, symbolic of Islamic structures, blend seamlessly with different Hindu symbols. Apart from the religious icons, the artists also adorned the walls with figurines depicting day to day activities. A visit to Adalaj Stepwell would be a memorable experience, especially for the history buffs, who can explore the architecture and enjoy the soothing drop in temperature inside. 5. JHULTA MINAR

Jhulta Minar is one of the most unique monuments in the world. Featuring a most fascinating style of architecture. When one of the minarets is shaken the other corresponding minarets start vibrating after a few seconds but the area between the minars do not exhibit any vibrations at all.

6. CALICO MUSEUM OF TEXTILES

The museum is beautifully designed in Gujarati Haveli architecture and houses a large collection of fabrics from all across the country. A wide variety of fabrics are available in different colors and patterns. The museum has a number of ancient cloth paintings, religious textiles, handicrafts, and tents back from the glorious years. Today, the museum has developed into an institute for scholars who wish to have an in-depth knowledge of textiles.
