Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum reflects the history and the culture of the region. The museum houses unique woodcarvings, handicrafts and musical instruments. The library in the museum has a wide range of books.
 

4. RUPA

An alluring hill station at 20 km from Itanagar and will surely make you crave for more. Rupa is totally untouched by mankind. It is on the banks of river Tenga. Take an early morning or late evening drive along the Rupa border to experience the stunning beauty of the place. You can also visit the tribal village of Shertukpen to experience the local life.
 

5. ITANAGAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

It is at a distance of 10 km from the city of Itanager. Public transport is easily available to reach the place. Itanagar Wildlife Sanctuary is known for its flora and fauna. The most common animals found here are the musk deer, Himalayan black deer, red panda and porcupine. A rare variety of monkeys is also found here. This sanctuary houses a number of hornbills too.
