Jag Mandir palace is built on an island in Lake Pichola and is known for its beautiful interiors and grand style of architecture. 3. LAKE PALACE

The iconic Lake Palace will arrest you with its beauty and scenic location on the 4-km long, man-made Lake Pichola. The palace is now operated by the Taj Group and offers captivating views of the Aravalli Hills. This is certainly one of the most romantic locations in the entire state and the heritage walks are to die for! Maharaja Jagat Singh II built this amazing palace that will bowl you over with its sculpted marble and moldings. While here, you can spend all day boating on the placid Lake Pichola, commencing from Rameshwar Ghat to the City Palace.
 

3. JAGDISH TEMPLE

The Indo-Aryan Jagdish Temple owes its creation to the Maharana Jagat Singh. The temples in Udaipur lies near the City Palace’s Badi Pol entry and you have to go up through a few steps. The black stone deity of Lord Vishnu will awe you and so will the brass Garuda image facing it. There are many other shrines dedicated to the Sun God, Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti. The sunset Aarti will be a wonderful experience here.


4. SAHELIYON Ki BARI

Saheliyon ki Bari is a beautiful garden in the city of Udaipur and is one of the popular Udaipur tourist places. Fountains, marble art and the lush lawns attract the public each time. Saheliyon ki Bari in English means the ‘garden of maids’. This garden represents a green retreat of Maharana Sangram Singh in the desert lands and was built in the 18th Century for the royal ladies of Mewar. It is situated on the banks of the lake Fateh Sagar and is one of the stunning places to visit in Udaipur.


5. SHILPGRAM FAIR

Shilpgram is a crafts fair and is organized annually in the west side of the city of Udaipur. It aims to promote the art, craft, textile and handicrafts of Rajasthan. This state is famous for handicrafts, bandhej, tie and dye, mirror work and embroideries. Camel leather items, hand woven clothes are some other items that are highlight of this fair.


6. JALSAMAND LAKE

Lake, also popular as Jaisamand Lake. This is the second largest artificial lake in Asia with an area of 87 square kilometres. The lake is surrounded by the Jaisamand Wildlife Sanctuary. As a result, the entire location is very scenic and peaceful. The huge lake was built in the 17th century by Rana Jal Singh, who constructed a marble dam across the Gomti River, thereby creating this lake. There are three islands in this lake which are home to the tribes of Bhil Minas and one of the best Udaipur tourist places.
