Haridwar in 48 Hours
One of the holiest pilgrimages in India, Haridwar, or the ‘gateway to gods’, is located where Ganga, the sacredest of all Indian rivers, enters the Indo-Gangetic plains. Located at the foothills of the Himalayas, Haridwar is a city of temples and ashrams and its pious ambience envelops everyone.
Day 1:
9:00 AM - Start your day by visiting Shri Mata Mansa Devi Mandir. It is located on top of Bilwa Parvat and can be reached by cable car or trekking.
11:00 AM - Next, head to Maa Chandi Devi Temple, which is located atop the Neel Parvat. You can reach there by taking a cable car or trekking.
1:00 PM - After visiting both the temples, take a break for lunch at any nearby restaurant.
2:00 PM - Post-lunch, visit Daksh Prajapati Temple, which is one of the oldest temples in Haridwar. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located near the Ganga river.
4:00 PM - In the evening, you can attend the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, which is a famous ritual that takes place every evening on the banks of the Ganges river.
6:00 PM - End your day by exploring the local markets and trying out some street food.

Day 2:
9:00 AM - Start your day by booking a Jungle Safari in Rajaji National Park & Tiger Reserve. You can book the safari online or at the park entrance.
11:00 AM - After the safari, head to Bharat Mata Temple, which is located in the heart of Haridwar. The temple is dedicated to Mother India and has a unique architecture that showcases the country's diversity.
1:00 PM - For lunch, you can try some local delicacies at one of the many restaurants near the temple.
2:00 PM - After lunch, head to Shantikunj Gayatri Parivar, which is a spiritual center that promotes the teachings of Gayatri Mantra. You can attend a meditation session or explore the beautiful gardens and temples on the premises.
4:00 PM - In the evening, you can take a dip in the holy Ganges river and witness the famous Ganga Aarti ceremony at Har Ki Pauri ghat.
6:00 PM - End your day with dinner at a local restaurant and head back to your accommodation.
