Dalhousie Two Day Itinerary

Dalhousie is one of the most famous hill stations of Himachal Pradesh. It stretches itself leisurely through the five mountains, Kathlog, Potreyn, Terah, Bakrota and Bhangora. 

Day 1:


9:00 AM - Start your day by visiting the Shakti Peeth Chamunda Devi Temple. It is located around 25 km from Dalhousie and takes about an hour to reach. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Chamunda, who is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Durga.

11:00 AM - After visiting the temple, head back to Dalhousie. You can stop at any local restaurant on the way for breakfast.

12:00 PM - Reach Dalhousie and start exploring the town. You can start with St. John's Church, which is one of the oldest churches in the town. It was built in 1863 and has beautiful stained glass windows.

1:00 PM - Next, visit Panchpula, which is a scenic spot located around 3 km from Dalhousie. It has a waterfall, a small stream, and a monument dedicated to Sardar Ajit Singh, who was a freedom fighter.

2:30 PM - Have lunch at any local restaurant in Dalhousie.

3:30 PM - Visit Subhash Baoli, which is a natural spring located around 1 km from Dalhousie. It is named after Subhash Chandra Bose, who is believed to have spent some time here during his exile.

5:00 PM - Finally, visit the Mall Road, which is the main shopping area in Dalhousie. You can buy souvenirs, handicrafts, and other items here.

7:00 PM - Have dinner at any local restaurant in Dalhousie.

8:00 PM - Return to your hotel and rest for the night.


Day 2:


9:00 AM - Start your day by visiting the Dalhousie Place. It is a popular shopping destination in Dalhousie where you can find a variety of local handicrafts, souvenirs, and other items.


10:30 AM - Next, head to St. John's Church. This beautiful church was built in 1863 and is known for its stunning architecture and serene surroundings.

12:00 PM - After exploring the church, take a short drive to Panchpula. It is a scenic spot that features a waterfall, a small bridge, and a monument dedicated to the freedom fighter Sardar Ajit Singh.

1:30 PM - For lunch, head to one of the local restaurants in Dalhousie. You can try some of the local delicacies like Madra, Dham, or Chha Gosht.

3:00 PM - After lunch, visit the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a beautiful sanctuary that is home to a variety of flora and fauna. You can go for a nature walk or a trek here.

5:00 PM - Finally, end your day by visiting the Khajjiar Lake. It is a picturesque lake surrounded by lush green meadows and dense forests. You can enjoy boating or simply
relax by the lake.

7:00 PM - Return to your hotel and rest for the night.
