1. ISKCON TEMPLE
Also known as Sri Sri Radha Madhav Sundar Mandir, this temple was built by ISKCON, which stands for International Society for Krishna Consciousness. With a grand temple, beautiful campus and soothing ambience, this temple is a must visit for everyone.
2. MAHANANDA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
Situated between Mahananda and Teesta River, this vast expanse of forest lands is home to rare mountain goat, Cheetal, barking dear, fishing cat, sambar, tiger, elephant and Indian bison and migratory birds. It offers mild to medium trekking challenges at Deorali, Latpancher and Golaghat Mana.
3. BENGAL SAFARI PARK
There’s no better place to explore Siliguri’s wildlife and incredible natural beauty than at Bengal Safari Park. Its inhabitants include a huge array of birds and animals including tigers, clouded leopards, gharials and Himalayan black bears. We recommend the jeep safari in favor of the elephant safari as it’s more comfortable and safer especially when traveling with children. You can sit down to a piping hot meal at the park’s cafeteria after. Indeed an amazing spot for Siliguri sightseeing.
4. SEPOY DHURA TEA GARDEN
When you’re in this part of the country, you can’t leave without making your way to a tea garden. The Sepoy Dhura Tea Garden is one of the top places to visit in Siliguri and Darjeeling. It’s conveniently located near Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary and is as picturesque as they come. In this Siliguri sightseeing place not a lot to do apart from appreciating the scenic drive to the plantation and walking through the gardens but it’s the perfect way to end your tour of Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary.
5. SURYA SEN PARK
Surya Sen Park is a picnicker’s delight with its manicured lawns and fountains. Pack a lunch and head here to get away from the city and enjoy the lovely greenery at one of the top Siliguri tourist spots. It’s a great place to go with kids too as there are fun rides, swings and play areas. It’s also one of the more popular places to visit in Siliguri at night as colored lights are illuminated when evening comes.
6. SEVOKE KALI MANDIR
Also known by the name of Sevokeshwari Kali Mandir, Sevoke Kali Mandir is a sacred pilgrimage site in Siliguri. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess, Mother Kali, the one depicted as the symbol of destruction in Hinduism. It is located amid the beautiful surroundings near the another popular tourist site Coronation Bridge. The river Teesta flows under the Coronation Bridge. This temple is visited by numerous devotees on a daily basis.
