The festival will be celebrated as a part of the fourth edition of the International Cherry Blossom Festival.
Slated to become a joint collaboration between India and Korea for the autumn flowering festivity, the two nations would be a part of the celebrations for the first time. Japan had previously united with India during the festival’s third edition last November.
# Venue
The festival would be organized across five places including Polo Fifth Ground, State Convention Centre, Golf Course, JN Stadium, Indoor Stadium Polo.
What’s included?
The one of its kind of festival is meant to drive momentum to the nurturing of socio-economic partnerships between both the nations. The Manipur-based Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) which has been playing a pivotal role in the organization of the festival also mentioned that the celebration stresses on high-level of employment and produces revenue in cities across the world.

Besides seeing the stunning blossoms, the festival will also offer a plethora of Korean events (K-events) in association with the Korean Cultural Centre India, which would include the following:
- A K-Pop concert
- Korean Taekwondo demos
- Korean cuisine and art stalls presenting opportunities for education in South Korea.
- A conference to be held between the Republic of Korea and the Meghalaya government on various topics including environmental reclamation and waste to wealth, with various MoUs expected during the summit.
- A number of stalls showcasing the best of the region's food, wine and crafts.
- Visitors can indulge in fashion shows, rock concerts, beauty displays.
- Visitors are free to take part in a golf tournament that would be held at the festival.
# Inauguration
The festival will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya – Conrad Sangma in the presence of South Korea Ambassador to India Shin-Bong-Kil.
