Welcome to Bhawan! We are a regional-Indian restaurant championing
re-imagined versions of our favourite street eats, unique / local takes on
cocktails; all whilst paying homage to the much-loved street food culture of
India. But we do it different at Bhawan! Think of timeless classics like
Kanpur’s Gadbad Chaat, Benarasi Tamatar Chaat, Kutchi Dabeli, Kolkata’s
Beetroot Chops, Chole Bhature,fresh-off-the fryer Jalebis and reimagined
classics like Mutton Birria Seekh Kebab, Egg Appam Benedict, Avocado Sev Puri,
Mushroom Haleem and Tiramisu Rasmalai.

We put the street back in the food, we’re all about a taste that’s authentic to the
place it’s from! The textures, the ingredients, the character, all ashomegrown as
the people who love it. Timeless favourites made contemporary! The taste will

Story of Restaurant

At Bhawan, we’re street food super fans—the snacks, the sweets, the chaat, even cocktail versions of our favourite desi drinks…the works! Each chutney, golgappa and mithai is handmade, by our very own chefs / karigars using techniques that are a closely guarded secret of street vendors, honed over years of experience. We want your search for true-blue regional Indian street food to end with us – from the tamatar chaat of Benares to the chicken bharta of Kolkata. We are your one-stop-shop for all your chaat cravings – Benares, Indore, Surat or Kolkata – we’ve covered every street to get you the most authentic and regional flavours. Just like you’d find on the streets, our chaat specialists have their own secret weapons – hand-blended spice mixes that add oomph to each chaat, fresh papdis and golgappas made daily and chutneys that are made in-house from scratch using the finest ingredients.

Once you enter the restaurant to satiate your street cravings, we wanted Bhawan to remind you of the nostalgia of the “Khao gullies” we grew up in or visited in so many cities and towns across the country. From vintage inspired hand painted menus in bright colours and playful typography to an illustrated streetscape that tells the story of the people and characters you’d come across. All of this designed to bring a smile of remembrance to the mind. The illustrations on the wall at the booth seating as well as in the bar highlights the street vendors in their glory and showcase the vibrancy, chaos and dichotomy of Indian streets and more importantly the personality of the vendors.
