The Table

The Table is a casual fine dining restaurant, located behind the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai. It has a globally inspired menu influenced by the San Francisco style of cooking.

With inspiration from all over Asia, the Americas and Europe, The Table offers an eclectic and extensive selection of global food. The restaurant presents a menu of small and large sharing plates such as lobster raviolo, yellowfin tuna tataki, Korean barbecue beef tacos and shrimp dumplings with spicy ginger broth. Low lighting, cosy seating and excellent cocktails make it ideal for a special occasion, but it’s equally suitable for a casual lunch or brunch, with multiple versions of eggs Benedict available.

History

The Table is one of India's first restaurants to conceptualise and execute the 'Farm to Table' philosophy with The Table Farm. It was initiated in 2012 in Sasawne, Alibag at Jay and Gauri's farm. The vision for the 1 acre farm was to grow the highest quality produce, and to provide The Table with as much chemical free, fresh produce as possible.

The Table Farm was started with the assistance of Adrienne Thadani of Good Karma Farms which specialises in Urban Farming. At an hour's distance from The Table, the farm harvests various fruits, vegetables and herbs for the kitchen, including heirloom tomatoes, spinach, beetroots, radish, micro-greens, coriander, lettuces, edible flowers, mango, passion fruit and more.
